I am a teacher with a background in English teaching, journalism and post-conflict NGO engagement, looking forward to learning through practice and developing my coaching skills.

I hold professional Diplomas in Project Management, Coaching, and Digital Marketing, attained within my covid associated downtime. I also hold a Masters in Peace and Development Studies, a Bachelors in History, Economics and Politics, a Higher National Diploma in Journalism, and an Expert in Biligual Teaching qualification from the International University of Catalunya, Spain.

I have worked as an English teacher in classrooms in Spain and throughout Austria, as well as on an individual, one to one basis. Through this experience, I learnt so much about listening attentively, confidence building, helping others to perform under pressure, and developing a growth mindset with students/clients.

I worked for a number of years with refugees and asylum seekers as part of the Failte Isteach (Welcome In) programme in Ireland, assisting (and being inspired by) young and old from Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Somalia and Sudan, with their English and numerical skills. My broader NGO experience has been primarily focused on assisting victims of extreme violence and associated injustice, especially in areas such as message management, partnership development and speaking event organisation.

I am currently building an educational programme that promotes mindfulness, wellbeing, confidence building and leadership/positive citizenship capacity, with inspiration from UNESCO, Global Peace Foundation, Facing History, and the Samaritans DEAL campaign, amongst others.

I enjoy playing piano, reading, writing, swimming, kayaking, teaching, helping people to believe and succeed, and of course learning and improving in my own way, a little bit everyday.
